Gray Fullbuster, Fairy Tail
Model: Paul Schatzle Photographer: KW's Photography Jacket was made from bottomweight cotton and custom cotton bias tape. Vest was made from stretch cotton blend with leather lacing. Jacket was constructed from an extremely altered Simplicity pattern. Vest was custom drafted. |
Crusader, Diablo III
Model: Melissa Colello Photographer: Notorious Rambler The tunic was made from Kona cotton with satin stitched applique and custom cotton bias tape. Undersuit was made from a cotton/lycra blend with a zipper at the front and Velcro to stabilize the armor. Cape and shoulder tassles were made from cotton. All armor pieces were made with Worbla using the sandwich method with craft foam in between two layers of Worbla. All pieces were covered in 10 to 15 layers of gesso and then sanded to achieve a smooth texture. Acrylic paints were used with the exception of the metallic gold spray paint. Faux leather sewed on top of felt for stability was used along with D-rings for the straps on the armor. The flail prop was made using pvc pipe, foam, and brown cotton for the handle. The head of the flail was made with an acrylic sphere, orange LED lights, glaze paint, gesso, Worbla, and acrylic paint. |

Model: Sammie Gibson Photographer: Unknown This costume was made entirely out of cotton fabric. The skirt is a circle skirt with a hook and bar closure and dark pink ruffle trim. The blouse was made from an extremely altered pattern with an added zipper, and ruffles at the wrists and opening. The shoulder cape has custom made applique. |

Model: Jenna Peccia Photographer: Julie Brokish The jumpsuit was made from a bottomweight cotton. The patches and vest were the same cotton which I quilted by stitching two pieces of cotton with quilting batting inbetween and machine stitching the designs. |

Model: William DeLucia Photographer: Jillian DeLucia All the robes were made from a mid-weight cotton backed with fusible interfacing. The robes consisted of one full robe, a false collar, and the gray tunic. |

This jacket was made with from a cotton sweatshirt fabric and a varsity jacket pattern. The applique on the front is cotton. |
Magma Grunt, Pokemon
The hooded sweater, armbands, and legbands were made from a jersey knit. The horns on the hood were stuffed with polyester fiber fill. The applique on the hood and front of the sweater are also jersey knit. |
Keith, Voltron
This jacket was made from a mid-weight cotton flat lined with interfacing and a bottomweigh cotton. The collar has boning to help keep it standing up. |
Original Character, Taylor Smith
This commission was for Taylor Smith's original design. He supplied me with the jacket and I added the embellishments. I was not permitted to take the jacket apart to apply the applique and budget did not allow for it to be completely hand sewn. So the majority of the applique was applied using HeatnBond, being topstitched where possible and necessary. The checkered pattern on the breast was hand painted using tape to mark the pattern. |

Erza, Fairytail
This costume was completely drafted by hand and made with a combination of jersey knit and polyester satin. The black belt is jersey knit and slips off. The purple tunic unnsnaps down the center. The light purple piece and purple octopus skirt was sewn to the purple bust part to keep in place. Thet applique was held in place by HeatnBond and then topstitched down. |
Slave Usagi, Sailor Moon
This dress was made from polyester satin and chiffon. The hem was a lettuce hem with clear fishing line. The bodice is boned to help hold structure. The sleeves were custom drafted and sewn to the bodice. |
Gajeel, Fairytail
These boots were bought and altered. The additions were custom drafted and made from craft foam, thermoplastic, and... synthetic wine bottle corks! I shaped the plastic around the craft foam, primed with gesso, sanded, painted, and attached to the boots. These boots also had an accompanied pair of glove. |
